How Do You Know If Fear Is Limiting You?

People who have known me for a long time have told me “oh, Brenda, you are so brave, you aren’t afraid of anything!”

Cue hysterical laughter from me. I was a worrier as a kid and seem to think it’s somewhat normal to push beyond my comfort zone….here is a little snippet of a poem that really resonates with me.

“Don’t worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 p.m. on some idle Tuesday”

Do one thing every day that scares you.

Sing.

Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts. Don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss.

Don’t waste your time on jealousy. Sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind. The race is long and, in the end, it’s only with yourself.”

The current world media is on a fear frenzy about Corona virus, and it seems to be polarizing Americans even further apart.

 

Here are some tips that might help you with some balance in the middle of these extremes.

  1. Stay at home if you are sick, or feeling run down
  2. Wash your hands. We use Thieves hand soap that will not strip all of the good off your hands, but will get rid of the critters/dirt you don’t want. We even have some extras for sale at the Boerne office.
  3. Boost your immune system with elderberry, Vit C, and other supplements. Rest, drink water, and decrease stress from your life.
  4. Breathe and know that you are going to make it!!!
