Summer Updates

Well, hello July, how did we get halfway through 2019???

Summer’s here and the team at Monarch isn’t slowing down. We are always looking for ways to keep our clients & community-engaged and feeling their best. Here are some highlights:

In June, we hosted an open house at the Boerne location. The open house was a great way for clients to engage with the therapists on staff, to get their questions answered about our VIP Membership Program, and learn more about our latest offering – QiGong classes. QiGong can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one’s mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and focused intent. Please contact Laura in the Boerne office for the latest schedule.

New Beautycounter samples from the anti-aging product launch line have arrived. Part of taking care of your body physically is also an awareness of what products we are using on the largest organ in our body…our skin. We believe in and are proud to offer Beautycounter products in our Boerne location. Beautycounter is dedicated to getting safer products in the hands of everyone. We are excited to announce that Belinda Garza will be joining the Monarch team in August. Belinda is a certified PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) and MT (Massage Therapist). Belinda has been taking MFR classes for the past 10 years and has a passion for the work. She will be at the Boerne location 2 days a week.

Brenda has been working on an online transfer training course designed for everyone that needs help and instruction on how to safely transfer clients/family members. The course should be ready in the next month or so, but you can take a sneak peek by checking out the public Facebook group called Safe and Healthy Caregivers. In the Facebook group, you will have access to videos on a variety of subjects including car transfers and bathroom transfers.

Brenda Bryson, PT, MPT, LMT

I have been a physical therapist for over 20 years, and a student of John F Barnes Myofascial release for 15 years. I have had an open spirit, and a tight physical body from birth, so I not only teach clients daily about movement, but I also stretch/move daily. I am pleased to say, I have less pain and am more active at 46 than I was at 28. I love my dogs, and outside of work I live a simple life of being outside or on the ranch. I am a 5th generation Texan, and if you are from Fredericksburg, I am probably related to you. Knowing that we are all connected in some way, helps me when I’m writing or speaking, because I just imagine I am speaking to a good friend.
